Cyberpunk 2077 Item Upgrading Guide

item upgrading (yogaasanas.science) is a key factor in maximizing the power of your gear. It allows you to add additional bonus stats in addition to the value of your base item.

Each upgrade template comes with a set of options which can be configured by using the edition GUI. These options include the upgrade reference and the chance to upgrade.

Upgrade components

As part of the 2.0 update the system for upgrading armor and weapons in Cyberpunk has been reworked. Upgrade components can be found throughout Night City, and the item you wish to upgrade must have an upgrade slot available. The game will show a preview of the item's expected stats after upgrading. It will also display the component or material needed. If you do not have the necessary level of component or resource to upgrade the item, then the button will say "Blocked."

The items that can be upgraded include armor and weapons as well as a few trinkets and gathering tools. Upgrade slots can be filled on any item, granting bonus effects or attributes when the equipment is used. These upgrades can be obtained by crafting, bought from a seller, or taken as a reward.
