WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts the random substatus.

The more modernized gear generally has a greater value for trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities and can be visited at any time to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks, to keep your equipment up to date.

The cost of upgrades will vary based on the current item upgrading level upgrade (www.ky58.cc) level of the item being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item upgrading will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for tools, armor, weapon and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for various currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any weapon, tool or armor. The button will show the preview of an item's next upgrade level, if there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the item slot, and the current item upgrade level. For instance weapons cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain level, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

Many locations offer item upgraders which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount as well as a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases when more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.

Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items at the start of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that can be used to upgrade are acquired via several methods that are both an improvement and a drawback.

In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a certain item level for a particular armor slot, upgrading further items to that level will be less expensive, even if they are part of a different gear set.

The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is available across all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is reduced also, but is only available when certain milestones are reached.

Crests

When upgrading equipment in WoW players have a variety of choices. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1 and are available in 4 ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be spent on equipment that is of a particular rank, and that every rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade requires up to 20 crests, depending on the type of equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by working through content that is of the appropriate level, which involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of all difficulty for items of higher tier or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses to obtain endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an upgrader for the item, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, however it brings some changes to the process of upgrading. For example, once an item is at the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible level on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests with care, since they only have one use. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the best gear you can locate and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character that will be able to take advantage of the account-wide discount when all slots are filled with top-quality gear.
