Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, commonly referred to as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment results in a linear increase in a given stat.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time in order to gain an ability to gauge the level of each of the upgraded components. The cost of recycling an item varies according to its rarity and.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an item upgrade is a way to increase the stats of your weapon and armor. This can be done through a number of means such as using upgrade components as well as upgrading an item's mark level or rarity. Many items can also be reforged to boost their value.

The value of the glyph will depend on the tier and quality of the item that you are admiring.

The majority of upgrade components that are slotted into items cannot be repaired or replaced without dismantling the equipment in question, unless it is legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a glyph or rune you don't want to use but it hasn't been incorporated to gear yet, you can transfer the item to a different piece by using the Upgrade Glyphs menu within the Glyphs Panel. This will create an entirely new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

If you wish to remove a glyph from an item, you will need to salvage it using an Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are also a great option to reroll stats on weapons and can be upgraded for better damage or perks.

Items that have been rerolled will not appear in the item upgrade menu, but they still qualify to receive upgrades. Rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button that alters the layout of the item window and allows up to six items to recycle. Recycling an item can add a small amount of points to its gauge of level.
