WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a an increase in specific statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.

The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade item their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be made on any type of weapon or armor. However, the item upgrader kit that is used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities and can be visited anytime to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each several weeks.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current level of the item being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear from other sources. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from another player will costs 105.

Upgrades are items that can be used to level up weapons and tools, armor and other items. They can be purchased from item upgraders NPCs for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be used on any weapon or tool with an button, which will show an image of the item upgrader mod when it is upgraded in the event that the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item and the current item level, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currency types.

Many locations offer item upgraders which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and the chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrades increases with the number of items that are being upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete specific achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at start, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are available only via a variety of ways. This is both a positive and an issue.

In Season 3 the upgrade system has been altered a bit, with some new features added. After a player has earned an upgrade to a certain item level for a particular armor slot, upgrading additional items to that level will cost less even when they belong to an entirely different set of gear.

The discount is applicable to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is reduced also, but is only available once certain milestones are achieved.

Crests

When it comes to upgrading gear in WoW players have a few choices. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specialized and are utilized during specific Item Level Upgrade; Junker-Bowles-2.Technetbloggers.De, level upgrades. Crests are an integral element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be used on gear of a specific rank, and each rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The simplest and easiest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade requires up to 20 crests, based on the type or equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by completing content of the appropriate level, whether that means walking around and doing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of any difficulty for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. These crests are then exchanged with an item upgrader mod upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and routes.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it brings some changes to the process of upgrading. For example, once a piece of equipment reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest level possible for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests only have one use and it's crucial to use them wisely. For instance, it's best to make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests with the best gear you have available, and then save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning to make. This is particularly true for items such as trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The discount for the entire account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
