The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should choose if you want an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than other models on this list, making it easier to navigate in tight corners and under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.

It's extremely fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single sweep. Its suction motor of 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes into contact with rugs, and the dual side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by a lot. The rotating mop spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is useful when getting into difficult corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to pick up larger debris like books and broken toys.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping, and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and performs well however this is something you'll need to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners who want an extremely efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and methodically. This will result in an effective, consistent cleaning which is also relatively fast.

In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching an array of surface areas. They can reach corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach areas. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can extend to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads can be dried and washed to avoid build-up and lessen the odors.

Another notable feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the strength of suction, and choose between a back-and-forth or slightly more random patterns. You can also adjust the number of passes it will make, which will determine the speed at which the device can traverse your home. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean that you don't need to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its best robot vacuum cleaner and mop feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of picking up pet hair. It was able capture the majority of hair that shed by our cats and even was able to get into the nooks and crannys of our stairs while other robots struggled. It was fairly quiet and had some lovely jingles to signalled when it was starting or finishing its work.

Its biggest drawbacks were its simplistic app and the necessity to swap between the modules to switch between vacuuming and mopping. The app is not able to store multiple maps. This can be a problem if your home has several floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot that is capable of vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it comes with some unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its enormous dock that doubles as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning and the 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.

The base comes with a couple of buttons for control that allow you to manually begin a cleaning task or recall the robot vacuums best, or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path. It will steer clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognizing objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with an obstruction, such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you free it. While this was rare however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert in its app.

Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You will need to manually swap between the two, which isn't an issue apart from the fact that the mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.

On the positive side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for a market dominated by clunky boxy units.
